This property is a big, 19th century stone-built farmhouse with 320m² of living space, used as a Guest House. It is set in 3.5 hectares of grounds in the foothills of the Pyrenees with splendid views in all directions. The Camino pilgrims' footpath passes in front of the door.
As with most guest houses today the 'guest' quarters are independent of the 'owner's quarters'. There are 4 guest bedrooms - all ensuite - in the west wing of the farmhouse. Oil-fired central heating throughout the whole farmhouse is supplemented by wood-burning stoves and an open fireplace. Hot water is supplied by solar panels.
Outside there's a mature garden with palm trees (yes! It's a mild micro-climate up here with little or no snow) and other exotic shrubbery, an organic vegetable patch, a vast wooden deck for yoga classes and a garage/workshop. This last has water and electricity installed so may be developed into more accommodation.
Finally, although the property is in a secluded spot with no near neighbours it's just ten minutes from the town of Pamiers with its shops, lycées, hospital, train station and motorway (Toulouse-Andorra).
